Uptown Waterloo Farmers’ Market

The Uptown Farmers’ Market is a weekly event organized by the Waterloo Crafters and Farmers’ Market Cooperative and delivered by the City of Waterloo that connects local farmers and artists with community members. It takes place in the Waterloo Public Square every Thursday from 3pm-7pm. The market provides Waterlooians with a great opportunity to support their local farmers and artisans. We have a variety of vendors selling a bevy of veggies, cheeses, eggs, bread, crafts and other locally-produced goodies.

26th Annual Energy & Environment Forum

The Annual Energy & Environment Forum will take place on June 24th. The keynote speaker is former Environment Minister and CIBC Vice Chair, Jim Prentice, he will touch on issues as they pertain to small and medium sized businesses in Canada. Michael Sarazin will present a local case study on how Plasti-Fab focused on internal conservation that has resulted in environmental and significant cost savings. Finally, Mike Morrice, Founder and Executive Director of Sustainable Waterloo Region will share the progress businesses across Waterloo Region are making towards reducing their carbon impact & improving their bottom line, as well as a brief update on plans to share their approach with other communities across Canada.
